After the Rain
After a week of sitting out from class and waking up each day hopefully checking to see if I regained feeling in my foot, I was happy for the weekend to come. It had rained a little last night and the air is always so fresh and clean after the rain – and that “fresh and clean” feeling reminded me that there are always new beginnings, new starts, second chances. I woke up with opened eyes and heart to see what the day had to offer. (And then I remembered that Big Game was today which filled me with a little dread at facing another loss in our dismal football season.)
But I looked at the window and saw the clear blue skies, and opened my windows for the first time in the summer. I walked down a different street to get to dance and was amazed by all the new stores that I saw that I never knew existed – and only one street away from my normal route! I started reading a new book. It snowed briefly tonight.
All in all, a nice, lazy, lovely Saturday. Even sitting in rehearsal for five and a half hours wasn’t too bad. Day by day I feel stronger and more ready to dance and I can’t wait to get back to it!
