Photo Week #1
Happy New Year, everyone! 2019 – a year that seemed so far away when I graduated high school. It feels like a lot more than ten years have passed, though. I feel very far away from high school. I am also grateful that I’m not a high schooler now, except that I may have tried harder at dance when my body could still take it.
A nice thing about not being in high school (and even not in college anymore) is being able to eat at nice restaurants with best friends. We congratulated ourselves on still being young enough to enjoy a night out even though it was easier to accomplish since we had dinner early. But still! We were proud of ourselves. We went to The House and then Mission Pie, two places that were new to me. I would definitely recommend the House, but if you were to go to Mission Pie I would recommend the walnut pie and not the lemon.
To celebrate Jessica’s birthday this weekend, I made a cake! I made this sprinkle funfetti three layer cake and although it was a little dense, everyone said it was very tasty. I want to try again with using 8inch pans instead of 9inch, though, because I feel like higher layers (and more frosting between the layers) would make the cake look even prettier.
