Photo Week #18
A week of firsts! Junie rolled over (and then proceeded to stop rolling over the next day... like she's over it), I did goat yoga, and it was Mother's Day.
Oh, another first - Junie had a cold, and then proceeded to give the cold to me, so it was a kind of tiring week. But I think we're both on the other side of things now, so that's good.
I made black sesame shortbread cookies for Junie's four month anti-drooling (收涎)ceremony - the recipe was incredibly easy, since it was a slice and bake (Smitten Kitchen) and this is definitely a recipe that I will be revisiting and hope to one day commit to memory.
I can't really remember what else I did this past week. I am growing more and more anxious about going back to work - at first I was looking forward to it, but the closer my start date gets, the more the scale tips towards anxious rather than excited. There's just going to be so much change and you all know how bad I am with change. You'd think having a baby would make me better at change, since it is quite possibly one of the most life changing things ever, but I think it's only made me like, 5% better at dealing with change.
Anyways, I guess I will have more to report back on the transition to work in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I will try to stay as present as possible in the current moment... which is a lot easier said than done...
