Photo Week #37
Every time I see the seasonal birds at Target, I am just reminded of our senior year Odyssey of the Mind project where we made birds out of felt and some old balls that looked somewhat similar to these. I don't remember why we made those birds... I know we put them on the tree part of the set, but I also don't remember why we had a tree in our set. Oh well. That was a chaotic OM year.
Anyways, it's (almost) fall! Thankfully Junie isn't scared of all these weird things that show up as decor in Target and Costco (actually she was really into the neon pink skeletons and skulls) so don't have to worry about her freaking out when we go to the stores. Although she is scared about people dressed up as characters (like Mickey Mouse or Chuck E. Cheese) so I'm surprised that she isn't more wary about the spooky Halloween decor... but I guess she will just like what she likes. Must work on encouraging her own likes and dislikes and personal preferences without injecting too much of my own biases. I tried to reason with her this morning to get her to wear a flowered shirt I got secondhand and was met with rejection, so maybe she just doesn't like floral print either...
