Photo Week #39
What a fun weekend – after a week that felt super long, it was nice to have a weekend getaway. Each time I go up to Napa, I feel like I should go more often – it’s really not that far away and it feels like just a good change of scenery from home.
We started the weekend off at a Pure Barre class – my abs were still sore on Sunday! The instructors were super friendly (and fit) and so nice to us.
The next day we drove up to Napa and visited Model Bakery, Hagafen Winery, and Valencia tacos before heading to Vista Collina resort for pool time, which turned into nap time. I’m glad that we built in time for relaxation and rest because I think we all needed it after our workout the night before. My food and drink highlights include the sauvignon blanc at Hagafen and the La Plancha al pastor tacos at Valencia, but almost everything we ate and drank was good. Our dinner at Bottega made us all feel very sleepy and incredibly full, and I guess that’s also a sign of good Italian food (aka carbs on carbs).
I told multiple people during the trip that I felt like we had done the perfect amount of things – not feeling like we had wasted any time but still felt leisurely enough to not feel rushed or stressed about making it to the next thing. My bridesmaids planned so well and I’m glad that all my friends were able to go too!
Thank you, Alice, for humoring me and letting me take a Hamilton pose photo.
