Photo Week#9
Hello, March! Where did the time go? I was supposed to try eating healthier during the month of February since I ate so poorly in January, but that did not go as planned… and the presence of lots of Mardi Gras food goodies today at work will probably postpone my “eating healthy” plans for another few days, at least. Oops.
This past week, we went to eat at Chez Panisse – it was so good. I didn’t know asparagus could taste that good! We shared a wine pairing, which was probably a good idea, since I didn’t even finish the last (half) glass of wine without feeling a little woozy. Although I’ve decided I don’t really like port, anyways. The best dish was the fried oysters we had as appetizers – perfectly light and crisp on the outside with all that oyster goodness in the center. Our waitress was extremely kind (although I’m sure she could tell we were total fine dining newcomers) and made us feel at ease!
I went hiking with my coworkers on Saturday on the Tennessee Valley Trail just south of Muir Woods. I don’t think I’ve ever been on this hike before, but it was straight forward and easy and the beach at the end was so nice! Luckily it didn’t rain while we were there, otherwise my feeling of the hike would probably be a lot more negative.
